How do I place an order by mail or fax?

What is your exchange policy and return policy?

Exchanges and Returns - The craftsmanship of our products are guaranteed to be of high quality and the text free of error.  Birth Certificate Items and Family Tree Items, proofs will be sent for approval prior to production.  If you have a problem with any order, please email us at customerservice@thecountrygoddess.com, describe your reason for return and if it is our error, we will send you a return number.  Write the return number on the back of the invoice and return it with the merchandise by UPS or U.S. Mail. For you protection, please insure your package.  We only give credit for the item, not the postage, unless the error is by our mistake, then we will give a gift certificate for the original postage and the return postage (total amount of postage is at our discretion and may be prorated based on number of items ordered).  All returns and amounts are at our discretion. We are not responsible for items once they are given to the carrier unless items are valued at more than $50.00 (we automatically insure orders over $50.00) or unless insurance is requested by the purchaser. YOU MUST MAKE THE CLAIM TO THE CARRIER YOURSELF, THE CHECK WILL GO DIRECTLY TO YOU IF THE CARRIER IS AT FAULT. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A CARRIER TURN DOWN AN INSURANCE REQUEST FOR BREAKAGE THAT WAS THEIR FAULT, WE TAKE GREAT PAINS IN THE PACKAGING OF OUR ITEMS.

Please note: Due to the fact that some items are custom order, on such orders we only do exchanges for like products only.  All Items must be returned within 15 days to ensure full credit, any return after 15 days full credit is given at our discretion. CREDITS WILL NOT BE GIVEN WITHOUT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. RETURNS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED ON BREAKAGES OR MANUFACTURED DEFECT, NO RETURNS ON CLOTHING SUCH AS ROBES, SCARVES OR ITEMS SUCH AS CRYSTALS, CONSUMABLES OR BATH AND BODY PRODUCTS. NO REFUNDS ON ABANDONED ITEMS RETURNED BY THE CARRIER, SUCH AS MAIL NOT BEING PICKED UP. If you have any questions, please email us.

What is a restocking fee or service fee?

We reserve the right to charge for bad checks, held funds (this does not apply to e-checks), NSF's, refused orders or charges, restocking of merchandise returned without authorization, cancellation of custom orders or returned to the wrong address.  Minimum fee is $35.00 for NSF charges, restocking is $25 per order or 25% of order whichever is greater.  Additional fees may vary dependant on situation.  Reminder returns are to be sent to: Returns: The Country Goddess, 208 W. How Do I purchase a Gift Certificate, How do I redeem my Gift Certificate?

By Mail --To order gift certificates in any amount at or above $10.00. Use the Gift Certificate Item# P6-190 on the mail order/fax form and enter the dollar amount you wish to give.  Upon receipt of your order and payment, the recipient will immediately be sent the certificate, brochure with product highlights and our website information.  Please be sure to fill out address of recipient at right on form. If you want the gift certificate to be sent via email, please include their email address.     

On-line--click gift certificate through the shopping cart are available for $25.00-$200.00, simply choose your amount.  Under special instructions, tell us where you want the certificate sent, include email address or recipient as well as mailing address.  Let us know your preference of an e-gift certificate or mail certificate.  With all gift certificate purchases a free card can be included at no extra expense.  Gift certificates are valid for up to three years of purchase.  It's that easy!  Upon receipt of your order and payment, the recipient will immediately be sent the certificate, brochure with product highlights and our website information including how to redeem their gift certificate. NOTE:  IF YOU GET A MESSAGE THAT SAYS IT IS NOT WORKING, PLEASE CALL US TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. Dependant on the amount you order, you may also qualify for a free gift certificate for yourself!

By Phone --To order gift certificates by phone call us.  By phone, like email or fax it can be for any amount at or above $10.00.

Delivery of your Gift Certificate--You may elect having your gift certificate sent by mail, fax or email to your recipient. 

Redeeming a Gift Certificate - You may redeem your gift certificate by web, email, mail or fax.  By web, simply enter the gift certificate registration code into the coupon blank at checkout through our shopping cart.  The amount will automatically be subtracted from your total.  By mail, include the gift certificate (keep a copy for your records) along with our completed Mailorder/Fax form. My Fax or Email.  Fax or Email a copy of your gift certificate.  Include the Mailrorder/Fax by Fax or email us the products or services you wish.  That's it.  Sorry - No partial refunds on Gift Certificates.

How Do I check the status of an order?

You can also contact us at orderstatus@thecountrygoddess.com for the status of your order.  If you don't have email or have lost your confirmation number just call us at 618-457-4042 or email us and we will email you back within one business day.  Please note: small items are shipped USPS and do not always have a tracking number such as UPS. However, we can confirm when it was shipped so that you know when to expect it.

How Do I submit my Family Tree Info?

First we ask that print out the Family Tree Order form off our page.  Fill out the Family Tree Info Sheet (page two of the order form) and either mail it to us, scan it and email it to us, or email the information through a regular email.  If you are going to submit pictures to be placed on your family tree or you are doing want a collage of family photos, we ask that you either mail them to us on a floppy disk, zip disk or flash media (at least 800 dpi) or that you send us copies of your photos on photo quality paper (copies as you would get from a photo processing center like Walgreen'sİ-not paper copies) and mail them to us.  We will return the photo's with your Family Tree order.  If you want to submit your images for you Family Tree portrait via email, send it to digitalservices@thecountrygoddess.com The format must be Photoshop, jpg, tif, gif. If for a movie project, mpg or avi files only.

What about retouching my photos for family tree products and digital products?

We have a graphic artist on staff with over 10 years in the print media business.  We are happy to retouch your photos, resize them add special effects and more.  Services for the first two hours are free with purchase, after that the rate is negotiable depending on the size of your project.  For more info on photo retouching, family tree designs or custom decor pieces such as tiles, canvas, poster board, or other, email us at digitalservices@thecountrygoddess.com

What about shipping? Do you ship overseas or to other countries? How much is shipping?

For web site purchasing, shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout.  For mail order, see order form. Orders are shipped UPS Ground or U.S. Postage Service.  Most items ship within 2-4 days and are received 7-14 business days thereafter. 

*Some restrictions may apply to above. For shipping charges to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands and all International orders, email us with the ship to address and the items and we can then calculate the shipping, we can not estimate based on country, we must have the complete address.  We ship to all Military bases, within the borders of all countries where there is a U.S. Military base or US embassy.

Some large items and special handled items such as the Egyptian lamps, drums, teak room dividers or custom orders such as wands and certain jewelry pieces, please allow at least 15-28 business days for delivery-this keeps your cost down on large, specially packed items and allows the artist time to complete your custom art order with greater attention to detail. In addition, special handled items due to bulk size, weight (such as oversize) or fragility do not qualify our regular shipping  (wands and jewelry do qualify). We will contact you if their is an issue or special delivery must by arranged, such as bulk items like room dividers or musical instruments such as drums, harps, etc. Custom jewelry orders please allow 1-4 weeks depending on your order.  If you have any questions about custom orders, please contact us at sales@thecountrygoddess.com. Note:  We offer low shipping charges combined with comparative rates on our items.  Remember many sites that offer free shipping on all items usually have higher item costs.  We do however offer free gifts to off-set shipping cost (some restrictions may apply, only one free gift per customer).

We do ship internationally. All orders for and including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or the US Virgin Islands and International orders must be ordered via phone, fax, mail or a Paypal to PayPal account. You will need to email us the items you are interested in and you address so that we may compute shipping cost. This is necessary for us so we can calculate your charges based on your country's currency and postage. For orders totaling less than $60.00, there is a $7.00 surcharge for handling on international orders. For further information, please contact us sales@thecountrygoddess.com.  Shipping internationally may have customs tax, the purchaser is responsible for tax. No custom tax is added when shipped to a U.S. base or Embassy.

How secure is your site and who handles your payments?

We use a 128 standard encryption on our shopping cart site by Go-Daddy.   Pay Pal is the clearing house for our payments and do a 256 encryption, the highest available.  We take security very seriously.  For quick checkouts for returning customers, we suggest registering on our sight or setting up a  Pay Pal account. Again, however, this is not necessary to have a Pay Pal account purchase off our site.  It is only for convenience.

Do I have to Have A Pay Pal Account To Shop on Your Site?

No. You check out as a Guest or choose the option, I don't have a  Pay Pal Account.  Don't worry, you won't be asked to set one up a Pay Pal account either.  We just use Pay Pal as our Credit Card Clearinghouse because they're affordable and we are able to pass those savings on to you!
